KIDAPAWAN CITY — A police probe has lately established {that a} minor who killed his father in Libungan city, Cotabato province final Tuesday is a battered baby who has borne bodily abuse for over two years.
Citing the account of neighbors in Barangay Ulamian, Maj. Jojie Barotas, Libungan police chief, stated Rafael, 44, had a heated argument along with his 15-year-old son previous to being stabbed to dying at round 6 a.m.
Barotas added that the suspect confessed to being mauled by his father that morning after quarreling over the telephone along with his mom who’s working overseas.
The battering prompted the suspect to seize a knife and stab his father within the chest and stomach.
In accordance with Barotas, the bodily abuse of the 15-year-old boy and his three different siblings occurs each time Raphael had a quarrel over the telephone along with his spouse who left for abroad work in 2019.
“Really, the neighbors are used to it already. However they didn’t count on that it will worsen into having the son kill his father,” Barotas added.
Barotas stated that whereas present process interrogation, the minor confirmed regret for the incident, admitting that he was overrun by anger.
The minor is now below the custody of the Municipal Social Welfare and Growth Workplace of Libungan, present process psycho-social intervention.
