KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23 — Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar apologised immediately for not being out of Terengganu when extreme floods have displaced 1000’s of the state’s residents.
In response to the Malaysiakini information portal, Ahmad Samsuri tendered his apology in a press convention in Kemaman immediately, shortly after coming back from New Zealand.
“I perceive that no matter I say now, they are going to not imply something.
“Nevertheless, I simply need to put it on report that I used to be monitoring the flood state of affairs, and I made a decision to journey abroad when there have been indicators of the floods receding,” he was quoted as saying.
Ahmad Samsuri added that the flooding within the state worsened immediately when he was already overseas.
Critics started calling out the Terengganu MB earlier within the week, after it emerged that he had travelled to Auckland along with his household whilst components of the state had been already flooding.
Floods have pressured tens of 1000’s of Terengganu residents to hunt shelter in lots of of non permanent aid centres in all eight districts of Kemaman, Besut, Dungun, Hulu Terengganu, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu and Marang, in keeping with the State Catastrophe Administration Committee.
